MAIN PURPOSE
Work under the direction of the Branch Manager at Altrad RMD Kwikform, Exeter, to support the successful operation of the business in the delivery and collection of equipment to customers' sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a small team to ensure delivery and Collection of equipment to and from customer sites or other branches.
Ensure that all operations in the yard comply with the
Company's Health and Safety procedures.
Ensure that all yard personnel wear protective safety
equipment at all times.
Report any matters affecting Health and Safety
immediately to the Branch Manager.
Ensure all risks are identified and assist the Branch
Manager is completing Risk Assessments.
Deal courteously with customers/visitors and drivers
ensuring they report to the branch office upon arrival.
Manage and motivate the yard workforce ensuring
efficient use of time available.
Ensure that all overtime is authorised in advance.
Ensure that all deliveries and returns have accompanying paperwork.
Ensure that loading and unloading instructions are carried out safely in line with the Company's Health and Safety Policy.
Ensure the safe loading/unloading of equipment,
carrying out the necessary Risk Assessments.
Ensure all personnel operating Fork-Lift Trucks are
trained and competent.
Assist Branch Manager in formulating a yard plan
and ensuring it is understood and adhered to.
Ensure that all equipment is checked for quality and
quantity on both returns and deliveries.
Assist the Branch Manager on stock/fleet levels
required, notifying any discrepancies/shortfalls to
Branch administration staff.
Ensure that stock-takes are carried out in line with
Company procedures.
Be the first point of contact for yard personnel on all
grievance and disciplinary matters and ensure that
the Branch Manager is informed accordingly
