About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced

Yard Foreman

to join our team at a busy steel fabrication facility. The successful candidate will take a hands-on role in managing the yard, overseeing goods in/out, and ensuring efficient material flow to and from the production team.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily yard operations, ensuring safe and organised working practices Manage

goods in and out

, including loading/unloading steel and other materials Ensure accurate checking, labelling, and storage of deliveries Supply steel and materials to the production team in a timely manner Maintain yard cleanliness and equipment safety Coordinate with production and logistics teams to meet scheduling needs Maintain stock organisation and assist with inventory counts Operate forklift trucks safely and in line with company procedures

Requirements

Valid

Forklift Licence

Previous experience in a yard or warehouse environment (ideally in steel or construction materials) Strong organisational skills and ability to manage priorities Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weathers Proactive attitude and hands-on approach to problem solving Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
