Job Summary
The role would ideally suit someone living locally with flexible times.
Accepting deliveries and organising for trucks/ vans that will deliver onwards. You will likely have to work, a split shift, meeting ferry times allowing the yard to be open 06:00-10:00, then again 16:00-20:00- Monday thru to Friday
About the Job
Manage our new site in Skelmersdale - facilitate the cross-docking and onward distribution of freight to and from the UK.
We are after an all-around person to help us with operations on site,
Loading and Unloading Trucks & Vans
Labelling Pallets/ Parcels for onward distribution
Local Deliveries in Truck (North West/M62 mainly) where necessary
Shipping and collecting trailers from Ports (Birkenhead/Heysham mainly) where necessary
Keeping yard in a clean and safe manner
Requirement
Full Cat C Licence essential
Full CPC and Driver Tachograph Card essential
Forklift Licence (or experience we can arrange a licence)
Basic Knowledge of computers
Work as part of a team
