The successful candidate will also be responsible for receiving deliveries, transporting stock between sites, and supporting waste management processes.
Key Responsibilities
Receive deliveries from suppliers and issue stock to the factory using date rotation.
Maintain yard cleanliness and organization, including litter picking, pallet sorting, and FLT checks.
Manage waste streams and coordinate skip collections to maximize usage.
Operate FLT and company vehicles to transport materials between Abergavenny and Blaenavon sites.
Support the Distribution Manager with various tasks as required.
Monitor and manage yard conditions during adverse weather.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety legislation.
Report hazards or potential risks to management.
Uphold customer-specific delivery and order requirements.
Monitor security and report any damage to equipment or stock.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in the food industry preferred.
Working knowledge of good practices and Health & Safety regulations.
Ability to interpret and apply new information to problem-solving.
