Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Yard Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the organisation and maintenance of the yard, supporting delivery operations, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in warehouse operations, commercial driving, or heavy lifting to develop their skills within a dynamic setting.

Duties

Assist with the loading and unloading of goods using appropriate equipment and manual handling techniques Support delivery drivers with vehicle preparation and securement of loads Maintain organisation of the yard, including stacking, sorting, and storing materials safely Conduct routine inspections of yard equipment and report any maintenance needs Assist in the movement of materials around the site using forklifts or other machinery (training provided if necessary) Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate daily tasks and deliveries Support warehouse activities as needed, including inventory management and stock replenishment

Qualifications

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is highly desirable Valid driver's licence or equivalent certification required Experience in warehouse operations or yard work preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and drivers Good organisational skills with attention to detail Physically fit with the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious attitude

Pay: 24,420.00-39,857.48 per year
