Yard Operative/hgv Driver
Job Description
A. M. Phillip Trucktech Ltd (Glenrothes) requires a Yard Operative/HGV Driver for our busy commercial vehicle workshop.
The overall purpose of the role is to carry out general yard duties as well as the cleaning of the workshop and any other odd jobs as required by the Aftersales Manager and/or Workshop Foreman. Additionally, you may be required to carry out collection and delivery of vehicles as need arises.
Areas of responsibility:
Keeping the workshop and yard clean and tidy.
Waste management - emptying of bins, sorting of recyclables etc.
General equipment cleaning including sweeping up, power washing etc.
Collect / Deliver vehicles Inc. presenting for HGV MOT's
Any other reasonable task as instructed by the Aftersales Manager and/or Workshop Foreman.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
Punctuality and reliability.
Ability to work on your own initiative.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Ability to recognise where and when duties arise and fulfil these requirements satisfactorily.
Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
Experience/Skills:
Current Full HGV Driving License (class 2 minimum)
