Job Title: Yard Operative (Scaffolding Yard)

Job Overview:

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Yard Operative to join our scaffolding team. This role involves the handling, sorting, and maintenance of scaffolding materials within the yard. You will ensure that all equipment is stored correctly, ready for dispatch, and returned safely. This is a physically demanding role that requires good organizational skills and attention to health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Loading and unloading scaffolding materials from vehicles. Organizing and maintaining scaffold components such as tubes, boards, and fittings. Cleaning, inspecting, and reporting any damaged or defective materials. Assisting in stock control and ensuring the correct materials are available for projects. Keeping the yard clean, safe, and well-organized. Working as part of a team to meet deadlines and maintain efficiency. Following all health and safety guidelines, including manual handling procedures.
Requirements:

Previous experience in a scaffolding yard or construction environment (preferred but not essential). Physically fit and comfortable with manual labor. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Good communication skills and a positive team attitude. Awareness of health and safety practices in a yard or construction setting.
Desirable:

Forklift license or experience operating lifting equipment. Valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one). Knowledge of scaffolding components and their uses.
