Job Description

A position has become available for a Yard Operative at Radbournes, an independent Aggregate Merchant in Hereford.

We are looking to add a dedicated and self-motivated person to our team, who will assist in the processing, production, handling and loading of both bagged & loose aggregates and associated products. The right candidate must be approachable and able to assist customers with any queries they may have, as well as having a problem-solving mentality and ability to deal with any complications that may arise during the working day. You will be required to serve both account trade customers and members of the public.

Forklift and loading shovel experience and qualifications would be an advantage, but full training would be available for the right candidate. Overtime will also be available and there will be a requirement to work some Saturday mornings.

Salary 540 per week basic salary. Overtime and Saturday work available, with the potential to earn 650+ per week depending on hours worked and experience.

You will be working for a family company that has been established for 50 years supplying builders' merchants, construction contractors and trade customers alongside DIY and retail customers with materials.

The role involves bulk bagging and prepacking aggregates, loading both customers and our own fleet of vehicles with loose, bulk bagged & prepacked aggregates, unloading incoming deliveries both loose and palletised, preparing orders of paving slabs, stone and general building products for our delivery fleet. Stone cropping and processing stone tumbling. Keeping the yard tidy & stocked with products for our customers.
