Yard Operative

Hours of work:

44.9 Hours (Monday to Friday 7.30am and 5.00pm (with a one hour unpaid break) plus 25 Saturdays from 7.00am to 12.00pm

What you'll need:

- Counterbalance Forklift Licence

- Combi/Loading Shovel/Teletruk Forklift Certificate useful but not essential

- Previous experience in a customer facing role

- Experience of working in a fast paced, commercial building trade environment

- Previous experience working in a Builder's Merchants

- Manual driving licence useful but not essential

What you'll be doing:

- Operating a forklift truck (outside in all weathers) to collect, collate and load/unload customers' orders

- Being responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and tidy working environment at all times.

- Picking orders

- Providing great customer service and a strong team spirit.

- Upholding the Company's values and image to all customers and potential customers

- Liaising with the Yard Foreman, Drivers and other departments as and when required to deal with any issues effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner.

Pay: 28,507.91-28,714.59 per year
