Job Description
Mash Direct, based on a working farm close to Comber are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of our yard and public outside area. This role involves a variety of tasks including maintaining outside areas and walkways to be clear, clean and organised. The successful applicant will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety.
Duties
Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the yard and pallet storage areas, ensuring they are free from hazards. Maintain staff production walkways Keeping walkways and car parks free of litter. Maintaining green areas, planting and weeding of flowerbeds, hedge strimming. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks. Counterbalance forklift use to include disposing of broken pallets and emptying waste containers. Power washer use. Use of your own initiative to resolve issues.
Requirements
Previous experience in a warehouse or yard environment is preferred. Proficiency in operating counterbalance forklifts; certification is an advantage. Ability to perform manual handling and lifting duties. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. A proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork is essential for success in this role.
