Summary

We are seeking a dedicated

Yard Operative

to join our team at Skirting 4 U LTD. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the yard, including stock handling, equipment maintenance, and general site upkeep. A valid Counter balance

forklift license

is essential, and prior

maintenance training

preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard area. Assist in loading and unloading materials for production. Build and maintain structures as required for yard operations. Dig and prepare areas for landscaping or construction needs. Irrigate plants or areas as necessary to support landscaping efforts. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Perform groundskeeping duties to enhance the appearance of the property.

Key Responsibilities

Operating forklift to move and manage stock and materials safely and efficiently Providing materials directly to production line Carrying out routine yard maintenance Basic repairs on equipment or site infrastructure (Dependant on experience) Loading and unloading deliveries Maintaining a clean, organised, safe yard & warehouse environment Supporting other team members with general duties as required Reporting any faults or hazards promptly

Key Attributes

Valid

counterbalance forklift licence

(in-date and accredited) Proven experience in a yard or warehouse environment Basic mechanical or maintenance training/experience preferred but not essential. Strong awareness of health and safety standards Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Good communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
Working hours - 7:00am - 3:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break

Pay: From 12.60 per hour
