Job Description

We are a rapidly expanding roofing merchant with 3 branches across Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. We are looking for Yard Operative / Delivery driver to support our business at our Fulbourn yard. This role will offer an excellent opportunity to join a company that is committed to growth, staff development and customer service. The position will mainly be yard duties with some delivery driving as required, and will allow for variety and progression within the company.

Responsibilities and Duties

Picking orders Yard house keeping Daily checks on the forklift Loading and unloading suppliers and customer Receive signatures with the customers Following health and safety Making deliveries of roofing materials to sites and households Daily van checks Route planning and time management Observe and obeying driving laws Checking and strapping loads This is a broad outline of the main responsibilities. The job holder will be required to be flexible in the role, responsibilities and duties may change as the job roles requires.

Qualifications and Skills

A Full UK Driving Licence is essential You should ideally have at least 1 year of counter balance forklift experience in a work environment You must physically fit, due to the manual handling required. Your numeracy & English literacy skills should be strong. A good level of customer service is essential as you will be at the forefront of the business.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 7am - 4.30pm
