We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative with forklift experience to join our recycling facility team. This role is vital to the smooth operation of the yard, involving the safe and efficient handling, sorting, and movement of recyclable plastics and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts and other machinery to load, unload, and move materials within the yard and factory. Sort and process recyclable materials according to company procedures and safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the yard and work areas. Assist with general yard duties, including manual handling and basic maintenance. Conduct routine checks on equipment and report any faults or hazards. Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a recycling, waste management, or factory setting is an advantage. Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong awareness of health and safety procedures. Reliable, punctual, and a good team player.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
