Yard Operative (Collective Sales Yard)

, one of Scotland's leading and most progressive auction companies are looking for an enthusiastic Yard Operative to join their busy team at Thainstone Centre, Inverurie.

Our Collective Sale Department:

Our renowned and ever-popular machinery sales include light and heavy commercial vehicles, 4x4s, excavators, tractors, telescopic handlers, agricultural machinery and equipment, builders' equipment and supplies, engineering and horticultural equipment and hand tools.

The role:

The main focus of the role is supporting the monthly collective sale through forklift and yard operations.

Loading and unloading of sellers & buyer's equipment

Lining equipment up ready for sale

Supporting sale day operations

Supporting the Yard Manager in keeping the yard tidy and organised

Ensuring that safe working operations are adhered to

Supporting the administrative staff with identification of goods

The opportunity to work additional hours with livestock during our peak periods may be available for those with relevant experience.

Knowledge and skills:

Previous experience in a similar role

Practical experience of working forklifts; telescopic forklift experience advantageous, although training will be provided.

Full driving licence (essential)

Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements

Flexibility to work differing hours each week

Good customer service skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
