Summary

We are seeking a skilled Yard Shunter to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient movement of materials within our yard, contributing directly to our mission of delivering top-notch cardboard solutions.

Responsibilities

Operate yard shunting vehicles safely and efficiently to move materials within the yard. Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading and unloading of materials. Supply empty trailers for loaders to maintain workflow. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure safety and reliability. Communicate effectively with team members to optimize workflow and address any issues. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while operating machinery. Assist in maintaining an organized and clean work environment in the yard. Support delivery operations as needed by providing assistance during peak times.

Qualifications

Valid HGV Class 1 driving license with experience in yard shunting or similar roles. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team. Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays during busy periods.
