About the Role

Penny's Group is seeking a

Yard & Site Supervisor

to take charge of daily operations at our busy Green Ore Recycling Centre. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys leading a team on the ground, and has solid experience working with heavy machinery and site operations.

As Yard Supervisor, you'll be responsible for

coordinating yard staff and machine drivers

, keeping operations running smoothly, and ensuring that all plant and equipment are used safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day yard activities and oversee the safe, efficient movement of materials. Manage and coordinate machine drivers, yard operatives, and support staff. Ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained and serviced -- liaising with maintenance teams when required. Monitor site safety and enforce Health & Safety policies at all times. Track incoming and outgoing loads, waste stock levels, and site throughput. Work closely with the transport and logistics teams to coordinate collections and deliveries. Maintain accurate records of operations, machinery checks, and maintenance schedules. Lead by example -- fostering a positive, safety-first culture across the yard.

About You

Proven experience in

yard or site supervision

, ideally in

waste, aggregates, or recycling operations

. Strong working knowledge of

plant and machinery

, including safe operation and maintenance practices. Hands-on leadership style -- confident managing people, equipment, and a busy yard environment. Solid understanding of

Health & Safety

and environmental regulations. Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. WAMITAB qualification desirable, but training can be provided for the right candidate. Reliable, proactive, and committed to maintaining high operational standards.
