Job description

The role will consist of a combination of delivery driving and yard work. The delivery area will cover most of East Anglia, so decent regional knowledge would be helpful. As well as experience in multi-drop delivery driving. It will be your responsibility with the rest of the team to ensure that all vehicles are loaded safely and on time. The ability to undertake heavy lifting and physically demanding work is also a part of the role, as the forklift and lorries will sometimes need to be loaded by hand and the unloading of some deliveries to the site. You should have experience driving a long-wheelbase transit van or something of a similar size. We primarily load and unload our vehicles by forklift, so if you have a forklift license or forklift driving experience. That would also be useful. You will effectively be the 'face' of the business when you deliver, so a well-mannered, positive attitude is essential. A reasonable knowledge of Timber/ Construction would also be helpful in this regard. You must adhere to all health and safety regulations at all times. For example, you are making sure always to be wearing the correct PPE. You must have a current, clean UK driving license. You must be able to work as part of a team and deal with customers politely and helpfully. The starting salary is 26,500 a year, which will increase after a six-month probation period has been completed. The starting annual leave is 21 days, and your working days are Monday - Friday. With no weekend or bank holiday work. There is a workplace pension scheme in place, as well.
