We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed

Year 1 Class Teacher

to join our dedicated team for

4 days per week

from September 2025.

30,000 -36,000 FTE

Key Responsibilities:



Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and planning expectations. Create a vibrant and stimulating classroom environment that promotes independent learning and supports pupil wellbeing. Foster a love of learning through creative and cross-curricular approaches. Monitor, assess, record, and report on pupils' progress and development, using formative and summative assessment strategies. Set high expectations for behaviour and learning, promoting positive values and maintaining a well-managed classroom. Differentiate learning effectively to meet the varying needs and abilities of pupils, including those with SEND and EAL. Support and contribute to the development and review of individual support plans (ISPs), working closely with the SENCO and other staff members. Establish positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents, maintaining effective home-school communication. Participate in staff meetings, INSET days, and school events, contributing to the wider life of the school. Maintain up-to-date records of planning, assessments, and interventions in line with school policies. Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance practice and remain up to date with educational developments. Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils by following school safeguarding procedures and policies.

Essential Experience and Qualifications:



Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Proven experience teaching within KS1 or EYFS. Strong knowledge of the KS1 National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies. Excellent classroom management skills with a nurturing and supportive approach. Proficiency in using educational technologies to enhance learning. A team-oriented attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
