Job Description

Principal Teachers are seeking an experienced Year 2 Teacher for a school in the Thirsk area. This full-time role begins in January 2026 and has the possibility of developing into a permanent position. You will be supported by two TAs in the class.

Requirements

Recognised teaching qualification (QTS) with induction completed Recent experience teaching in KS1 and strong SEN experience Strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum High expectations for all pupils and a commitment to supporting every child to succeed Ability to work collaboratively as part of a staff team Confident in planning, delivering and assessing high-quality lessons Skilled in managing behaviour effectively and creating a positive learning environment Passionate, motivated, and enthusiastic about teaching young children
