We are seeking a talented and engaging Year 2 Teacher to join our warm and dynamic Pre-Prep School team to cover a maternity leave. You will play a key role in the lives of our Year 2, teaching an all-round curriculum while supporting their wellbeing as a Form Taker. You'll be part of a collaborative, big-hearted school community that values innovation, empathy, and high-quality teaching.
Desirable Personal Qualities and Experience:
Outstanding teaching skills, with the ability to inspire, encourage and nurture the children in your care;
Confidence in communicating with parents, colleagues and children; this includes excellent writing skills and a calm, courteous and approachable manner at all times;
Skill in planning interesting and enjoyable lessons, and in managing a wide variety of abilities;
A professional appearance and warm, caring manner;
Secure knowledge and experience of using ICT including information systems (iSAMS preferred), spreadsheets, all MS Office applications and other essential tools for teaching and lesson planning;
Creative approaches to teaching and learning;
Ability to work on own initiative, with full regard to the ethos of the School and the Curriculum;
Excellent collaboration skills, flexibility, good humour and empathy;
Early Career Teacher seeking Induction, or Qualified Teacher Status including Induction
Commitment to participating fully in the life of a busy Prep School, including Parents' Evenings, INSET, planning meetings and report writing.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, during term time.
Expected to be on site from 7.45 am until 4pm.
Occasional attendance at school events (e.g. Parents' Evenings, INSET, or planning meetings), with advance notice.
