About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated General Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and supportive Year 2 team in a primary school located in Prestwich. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with children, a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, and the ability to support students with varying learning needs.
As a Year 2 General Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the class teacher, helping students to thrive in their learning, and contributing to the overall positive atmosphere in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of lessons and learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Provide 1:1 or small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom.
• Assist with classroom management to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
• Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
• Help with administrative tasks, including preparing learning resources.
• Build positive relationships with students to support their emotional and social development.

Requirements:

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a Key Stage 1 environment.
• A Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or working towards).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to working with children.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
