About the role

Heart of Supply is delighted to be recruiting a Year 5 Teacher for a vibrant and inclusive one-form entry Church of England Primary School in Newark, where every child is valued, supported and inspired. This full-time position starts in January 2026 and is ideal for a KS2 teacher who brings energy, empathy and a sense of purpose to the classroom. You'll be teaching a lively, curious Year 5 class, helping pupils grow in confidence, deepen their knowledge and get ready for the challenges of upper Key Stage 2. What you will need:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Recent experience teaching in KS2 (minimum 6 weeks in a UK primary school) A thorough knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and a good understanding of the KS1 curriculum. The ability to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment Excellent communication and classroom management skills A positive, collaborative approach and a genuine passion for helping children thrive
