The Youth Emotional Support (YES) service works with young people aged 11 to 18 to help ensure that they are supported to achieve their potential. The foundations for future mental health, emotional control, intelligence, and parenting ability are all set in place in the early years through to adolescence, and the home surroundings, family life and parenting are all important factors in determining positive outcomes for young people in the future.

The Opportunity
Salary:
36,363 to 39,152 per annum

You will play a critical role within the YES service, leading a small administrative team to provide support to the YES team to enable them to deliver an outstanding service to children and young people in West Sussex.
Working as part of the YES management team, you will provide technical expertise and leadership on the implementation of innovation and new ways of working, including identifying opportunities for efficiency, reducing costs and improving delivery.
You will have a keen interest and background in business improvement and change activities, along with a positive can-do attitude, commitment, tenacity and drive.
Successfully delivering assigned work as defined and agreed with the YES Management team of the highest quality, you will have experience of service design, transformation, and change management, demonstrating full analysis of the impacts of change assessment of the financial and service benefits.

Strong problem-solving skills able to quickly assimilate information, consider the issues/risks/resource implications and recommend the most appropriate course of action.
Strong outcome focus with the ability to work as a key contact and provide a professional service
Ability to research, analyse and interpret complex information, make connections, see issues in a wider context and use judgement in making recommendations.
Ability to write and present key documents such as progress reports, options analyses, and improvement recommendations for business cases, taking account of budgetary implications and the broader impacts on the business.
Ability to organise/prioritise work, co-ordinate a variety of tasks in a clear and logical way and meet agreed deadlines which minimise the disruption to the business.
Qualifications and/or experience
Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject or demonstrable equivalent comparable experience.
Experience of business requirements definition, process redesign, testing, verification and validation techniques.
Experience of working in partnership internally and externally with other agencies and suppliers.
Sound and accurate IT knowledge, including Microsoft Office applications (Power BI, Word, Excel and Powerpoint) to create fit for purpose documents.
Knowledge of project and change management techniques.
