Yield Management Accounts Assistant

Reporting to: European Operations Accounting Manager

Overview

To support Rental Programme working closely with internal colleagues within Finance team (UK and non-UK teams) and external suppliers and customers to ensure smooth day-to-day running of finance functions and adherence to deadlines.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Collating and posting payments for Hotel business stream on to central systems.
  • Ensuring invoices are raised, checked and sent for UK and received from non-UK teams for Hotel reservations.
  • Collate and review all debtor information onto central file for management, business and global review. Liaising with Operations teams as new contracts come online, or are in default.
  • Chasing unpaid invoices via e-mail or 3rd party extranets.
  • Rental programme accounting, including accruals and prepayments, plus providing analysis where required and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Monthly review plus deferred revenues and prepayment releases to match with travel dates.
  • Liaising with Yield Management team to ensure accuracy of reservations and resolution of queries as well as errors. The right candidate must be able to dig deeper into systems and invoice information to ensure accuracy.
  • Managing travel agents commission payable to 3rd party entities and other accounting teams around Europe. Downloading monthly statements, checking for accuracy, accruals, ensuring invoices are approved and sent to appropriate accounting team. Compiling monthly analysis for income statement to ensure accuracy and providing variance analysis.
  • Ad-hoc duties when required.
Qualifications

Skills Required

\xc2\xb7 Excel skills to an intermediate level is essential - experience of Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP\'s and other basic formulae.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work and analyse high volume data and update files.

\xc2\xb7 Proven Accountancy skills/experience

\xc2\xb7 Organised and detail oriented is essential.

\xc2\xb7 Must be able to work as part of a team but able to get on with tasks assigned.

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge and working experience of financial accounting systems.

\xc2\xb7 Good communication skills.

Additional Skills

\xc2\xb7 AAT qualification or part qualified advantageous (QBE also considered).

\xc2\xb7 Ability to move from one task to another as business needs require.

\xc2\xb7 Background knowledge of Clarity
