Young Person's Adviser & Youth Participation Worker

Based in the prestigious City of London

Are you passionate about empowering young people and amplifying their voices? Shaw Trust is offering a unique opportunity for someone exceptional to join our team in a dual role that blends direct support with youth advocacy.

As a Young Person's Adviser & Youth Participation Worker , you'll play a vital role in two key areas:



Information, Advice & Guidance :

Provide high-quality Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to young people across the City of London, helping them navigate pathways into employment, education, training, and to further their personal development.



Youth Voice & Participation :

Lead and coordinate our City Youth Forum and the Member of Youth Parliament (MYP) scheme , ensuring young people have meaningful opportunities to engage in civic life, influence decision-making, and campaign on issues that matter to them.



You'll work collaboratively with schools, community organisations, and statutory services to create inclusive, empowering spaces for young people to thrive.



We're looking for someone who is..



Passionate about youth development and social justice



Experienced in working with young people in advisory or participatory roles



A confident communicator and facilitator



Organised, creative, and proactive



Committed to equity, inclusion, and amplifying youth voice



Equipped with an IAG qualification at Level 4 or 6
