Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in a young person's life?
We are seeking a
female Personal Assistant (PA)
to support a vibrant and engaging young person with complex needs. You'll work closely with her in
South Gloucestershire
, helping her thrive both at home and out in the community.
This is a
rewarding and hands-on role
supporting a young person who lives with:
Cerebral Palsy
Sensory processing needs
Executive function challenges
You'll support her in:
Social Support
Attend and assist with horse riding and swimming lessons
Support with educational needs and school attendance
Accompany to medical appointments
Assist in accessing local amenities like the cinema, shops, and restaurants
Encourage socialising with friends and family
Engage in home-based hobbies and activities
Personal Care
Assist with personal hygiene where needed
Promote independence in daily tasks
Support with physiotherapy and rehabilitation programmes
Domestic Duties
Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks
Help with light household tasks including cleaning, laundry, and changing bedding
Who We're Looking For
You'll be someone who is:
Fun, kind, and reliable
Flexible, patient, and adaptable
Trustworthy and able to build meaningful relationships
A confident driver (automatic car)
A team player who can also work independently
Willing to learn, especially if you're new to equestrian activities
Essential Requirements
Female applicants only (Occupational Requirement, Equality Act 2010)
Full UK driving licence (use of the clients automatic vehicle)
Business insurance is required so must be over 25 years of age
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
Experience supporting young people with complex needs
Able to swim
Strong Maths and English skills for educational support
Knowledge of or interest in horses
Non-smoker
Desirable Skills
Comfortable with animals (especially dogs)
Confident using a computer
Experience managing or supporting behaviours that challenge
Great communication and listening skills
