Join our Youth Counselling Team in Tayside

Associate Counsellor (24.50 per hour)

. This position is offered part time on a 12 month fixed term contract, self employed position.

Priority will be given to applicants who have experience and post qualifying training in working with young people and children - preferably in a primary or secondary school environment. Consideration will also be given to those with other youth experience.

We will provide the appropriate youth counselling training to ensure all counsellors meet the required competencies as outlined by BACP.

You must have:

- A recognised Diploma in Counselling

- A valid driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential

- Excellent IT skills and be comfortable with use of mobile technology

Ideally you will have:

- Experience of delivering time limited, solution focused approaches.

- Demonstrable experience of working with a range of client types and presenting issues

- Experience of recording comprehensive client progress and improvement data.

- Experience of counselling young people in a school environment is highly advantageous.
