Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager to lead our team in a dynamic environment focused on the development and well-being of children and young people. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in teaching, mentoring, and youth work, with a passion for fostering growth and learning in a supportive setting. This role requires effective leadership skills and the ability to engage with both staff and children to create an inclusive atmosphere.

Duties



Oversee daily operations, ensuring that all activities align with organisational goals and standards. Develop and implement educational programmes tailored to the needs of children, including those requiring special education support. Mentor and support staff in their professional development, providing guidance on best practices in teaching and youth engagement. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and the community to promote a collaborative environment. Monitor progress and outcomes of programmes, making adjustments as necessary to enhance effectiveness. Conduct regular evaluations of staff performance, providing constructive feedback to encourage growth. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and organisational protocols.

Skills



Strong teaching abilities with experience working directly with children in various settings. Proven mentoring skills that inspire confidence and foster professional growth among team members. Experience in youth work, demonstrating an understanding of the challenges faced by young people today. Knowledge of special education practices is advantageous for supporting diverse learning needs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with a range of stakeholders. Ability to lead by example, motivating staff while maintaining a positive working atmosphere.
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 13.60-14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
