This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a
Level 3 Youth Support Worker Apprenticeship
while working hands-on with students, local organisations, and community groups. You'll be at the heart of student-led initiatives that drive real change, build confidence, and develop employability skills.
What You'll Be Doing
Raise awareness and embed youth social action across our colleges.
Coordinate and support student-led community projects.
Build partnerships with local charities, employers, and organisations.
Empower students to take action on local issues and gain meaningful experience.
Promote inclusive opportunities that reflect the diverse needs of our student body.
What We're Looking For
Level 2 English and Maths (or willingness to achieve by End Point Assessment).
Experience of volunteering or mentoring.
Confident communicator with a passion for youth development.
Basic IT and social media skills.
Motivated, proactive, and committed to personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
Complete an 18-month apprenticeship plus a 3-month End Point Assessment.
Lead and manage youth social action activities across two college sites.
Engage with students to understand their motivations and encourage participation.
Collaborate with local and national organisations to deliver impactful projects.
Act as a positive role model and ambassador for youth social action.

The LET's Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
