Key Responsibilities:
Engage with children and young people in our youth clubs and groups.
Plan, organise, and deliver a range of activities that promote personal and social development.
Provide support and guidance to young people, helping them to achieve their potential.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants.
Work flexibly to meet the needs of the role.
Please note both afternoon and evening work is a requirement of this post.
To support the Youth Work Coordinator to maintain accurate administrative documents as requested.
Qualifications and Experience
Shortlisting Criteria
Previous experience working with children and young people is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A genuine passion for youth development and community engagement.
Desirable Criteria and Qualifications.
These will be used for shortlisting purposes in the event of a large number of applicants.
Qualifications.
A relevant qualification in the community youth work, education, health, sport or social science field.
Experience
. Experience working, in a paid capacity, within a youth work setting.

Hours of work: Six hours a week, including evenings and afternoons. Hours may occasionally fall outside of these times, including weekends, and a degree of flexibility is required. Role may include residential trips and time in lieu will be offered for any overtime incurred.
Rate of pay: 12.21 per hour. Post is funded for one year.
