We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and safeguarding-aware Floating Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will support young people aged 18-24, promoting their independence and personal development through practical and emotional support. Your work will empower young people to build confidence, develop life skills, and overcome challenges.
Please note: this position is for individuals available to work up to 40 hours per week including nights and weekends.

Support the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of young people in line with their support plans.
Provide a caring, safe, and nurturing environment free from harm.
Promote self-esteem and independence through 1:1 key work and group-based sessions.
Teach Independent Living Skills (e.g., budgeting, cooking, cleaning, job search).
Encourage community engagement and personal development.
Respond to and manage risk appropriately, in line with safeguarding protocols.
Keep accurate written records for reviews, meetings, and safeguarding logs.
Contribute to team meetings, training, and reflective supervision.
Follow safeguarding, health & safety, information sharing, and confidentiality policies.

Criteria Essential
supporting young people with complex needs?
Able to work with empathy, boundaries, and professionalism?
Familiarity with issues facing care leavers and vulnerable youth?
Ability to maintain accurate records and follow procedures?
Availability to work between 0 - 40 hours per week including Nights?
DesirableExperience
Knowledge of safeguarding and safer recruitment?
Strong written and verbal communication skills?
Experience with keyworking or support planning?
Driving licence and use of a vehicle?
Experience in housing/support settings?
Relevant qualifications (Health & Social Care, Youth Work etc.)?
Conditions
Flexibility required to occasionally attend appointments or events outside of regular hours.
May include light practical duties (e.g. cleaning).
Ongoing training and development provided.
