The post holder will support children who have or are vulnerable too or at risk of Extra Familial harm. You will work with children, young people and families that have experienced harm such as child sexual exploitation, child criminal exploitation and serious youth violence. Undertaking contextual assessments of places and spaces where harm could occur and delivering direct work in different contexts.


You will form an integral part of Swansea's contextual approach to targeting Extra Familial Harm. Supporting the service development in the area of contextual safeguarding and supporting the whole service in their response to Extra Familial Harm. This post would suit practitioners with keen interest in working on a detached basis within communities and schools.


About you:

You will be passionate and enthusiastic about responding to Extra Familial Harm. You will be passionate about promoting the values of youth work ad understand what matters to children and young people and support them to achieve this. You will be comfortable working within group settings. You will be committed to your own professional development and take up learning and training opportunities to continue to develop your existing skill and knowledge base. You will ensure that children and young people are at the heart of all decision-making and their voices are heard and evidenced throughout all aspects of your work. You will be motivated, dynamic and passionate about securing the best possible outcomes for children and young people. You will be compassionate, open, honest and respectful in all aspects of your work.
