Assistant Youth Worker
To plan and deliver captivating activities for young people

To work directly with young people 9 - 17 years to enable their personal development and social education by assisting in the provision of a range of positive activities. Ages can also vary to 17+ with further projects to meet needs.
To be aware of the planned targets and outcomes and assist in working towards their achievement.
Under the direction of the line manager, take delegated responsibilities for elements of delivery of positive activities as part of a wider programme.
To assist with a programme of positive activities that promotes equality of opportunity and the participation and engagement of young people.
To participate in additional funded projects and interventions that vary due to the needs and demand in the community. Including detached, outreach and work in schools.
Participate in mentoring with young people from local Schools. (Training provided).
Delivery of youth work in small group work.
Delivery of youth work on a 1-2-1 basis.
Participate in additional training offered (Mandatory).
Help promote the delivery of youth work as an essential service to young people within the local area of Pershore & surrounding towns.
General Duties:
To understand and adhere to all policies and procedures concerning the Safeguarding of Children and Young people in youth support settings
To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities as required by Youth Support.
To undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job.
To undertake health and safety duties commensurate with the post and/or as detailed in the Directorate's Health and Safety Policy.
To ensure centre is left in a suitable state for next user group.
