PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: 40,000 - 50,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We're looking for a creative and strategically minded YouTube Content Lead to join our On Demand Music team within BBC Music. This is an exciting opportunity to work with artists, labels and our major events and music tv commissions to craft engaging content and develop strategies that amplify BBC Music's brands and campaigns on the world's biggest video platform.

The On Demand Music team sits at the heart of BBC Music, shaping how the BBC adapts to modern audience behaviour, across platforms. Working closely with our radio networks and music TV teams, we create compelling formats that build digital habits and attract new listeners to the BBC.
We lead on commissioning standout podcast brands for BBC Sounds, including Pop Top 10 with Scott and Rylan, Sidetracked with Annie and Nick, The Rise & Fall of series, and Radio 2 Eras, alongside popular playlist-led formats like The Sleeping Forecast and Pace Setter.
Beyond podcasts, we spearhead the digital strategy for major music events across BBC Sounds and iPlayer such as Radio 1's Big Weekend, Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, and Radio 2 in the Park bringing these iconic moments to life for audiences everywhere.
You'll be part of the team that leads our Events, iPlayer and YouTube strategy, working closely with our Head of On Demand Music and Assistant Commissioner for Events to shape ambitious growth plans for our events coverage, our popular live music archive and a range of new artist fronted YouTube formats.
