Kabuki Childcare is situated in Barnsley town centre and provides an excellent quality of childcare from birth up to five-years-old. Founded in 2013 Kabuki is a family run business which strives to deliver an outstanding level of care and develop long lasting relationships with both children and parents.
The nursery setting aims to deliver EYFS through creative activities such as singing, dance, music, drama, role play and other creative arts. The centre has 'in house' performing arts specialist's who works alongside its team of dedicated and highly trained staff. We also offer frequent visits and outings to local places of interest along side daily music and dance classes.
The nursery offers a huge range of facilities such as a sensory room and adventure playground as well as boasting two large play areas, baby room and courtyard.
All meals are cooked fresh on the premises and all dietary requirements are catered for.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consistent 1:1 support for a child with SEND
Support learning and development through play-based activities
Implement individual support plans and EHCP targets (where applicable)
Promote communication, social skills, and emotional wellbeing
Encourage independence while ensuring safety and inclusion
Work closely with the nursery team, parents, and external professionals
Observe, record, and contribute to progress reviews
Requirements:
Experience working with children with SEND (ASD, speech and language needs, developmental delay, etc.)
Childcare qualification (Level 3 preferred, but not essential for the correct candidate)
Patient, reliable, and compassionate approach
Good communication and teamwork skills
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Desirable:
Experience in a nursery or early years setting
Knowledge of the EYFS framework
Experience supporting EHCPs or individual learning plans
