Millfield School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team on a fixed-term basis until June 2026. This full-time role is 39.9 hours per week, working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8.25am to 3.45pm, Wednesday from 8.25am to 3.00pm, and Saturday from 8.25am to 12.25pm, with a 20-minute paid break. The salary for this position is 21,018.02 per annum.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide in-class support for pupils with special educational needs and those learning English as an additional language. Working closely with teachers and the SENCO, you will help pupils access learning, develop confidence, and reach their full potential through individual and small group support.

We are looking for someone who relates well to children and adults, works effectively as part of a team, and demonstrates enthusiasm, empathy and resilience. Experience of working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
