Chandlers Ford, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Recruitment Delivery Consultant & Client Acquisition Consultant/Manager - Chandler's Ford

Do you have a strong work ethic and a passion for recruitment? Are you looking for a role that plays to your strengths - whether that's sourcing top talent or winning new client business?

Our client, a high-performing recruitment agency based in Chandler's Ford, is hiring for two key roles that cover each half of the 360 recruitment process.

One position is a Recruitment Delivery Consultant (focusing on candidates) and the other is a Client Acquisition Consultant/Manager (focusing on client sales).

These roles sit within a specialist Technology, Engineering & Defence recruitment team, placing candidates into some of the leading companies in the industry. If you thrive on either side of recruitment of the traditional recruitment function, this could be the opportunity for you!

Role 1: Recruitment Delivery Consultant (Candidate-Focused)

In this role, you will work primarily on the "candidate side" of recruitment. Working closely with the company's Defence & Engineering recruitment lead, you'll attract and assess candidates for technology and engineering roles, filling positions for some of the best names in the defence industry.

As you grow in the role, there's opportunity to take the lead on account management and client relationships (if you wish to broaden into a full 360 role). This position is ideal for someone who loves building relationships with candidates and contributing to a high-paced team without the pressure of cold sales.

Key Responsibilities (Delivery Consultant):

- Source & Engage Candidates:

Attract, identify and evaluate top technical candidates using LinkedIn, job boards, the CRM, and your professional network.

- Talent Marketing:

Write compelling job adverts, create and manage LinkedIn projects, and guide candidates through each step of the recruitment process (from initial contact to interview prep and offer negotiation).

- Full Cycle Management:

Own the full recruitment cycle - from understanding the job requirements to candidate shortlisting, interview coordination, and placement.

- Continuous Engagement:

Be naturally curious and ask lots of questions - you delve deeper into candidates' skills and aspirations to ensure the perfect fit for both candidate and client.

Role 2: Client Acquisition Consultant/Manager (Sales-Focused)

This role is all about the "client side" of recruitment. As a Client Acquisition Consultant, you will focus on business development and client relationship management. Working closely with the delivery/resourcing team, you'll bring in new vacancies and build partnerships with clients in the technology, engineering, and defence sectors. You will be connecting with some of the best-known companies in these industries, understanding their hiring needs and offering tailored recruitment solutions. As you excel, you could grow into a Client Account Manager or Team Lead, taking ownership of major client accounts and contributing strategically to business growth.

Key Responsibilities (Client Acquisition):

- Business Development:

Proactively identify and engage with potential client companies through networking, cold outreach, meetings, and industry events. Act as an ambassador in our niche markets to win new client business and exclusive job openings.

- Client Relationship Management:

Build and nurture long-term relationships with client hiring managers. Consult with clients to deeply understand their talent needs and advise on recruitment strategies. Negotiate terms of business and ensure client satisfaction throughout the hiring process.

- Collaboration with Delivery Team:

Work hand-in-hand with the delivery consultants to ensure each client vacancy is filled with high-quality candidates. You will effectively communicate client requirements to the team and coordinate feedback, interviews, and placements.

- Market Insight & Strategy:

Stay informed on industry trends in tech and engineering sectors. Use market knowledge to identify opportunities, inform clients of talent market conditions, and strategically target growth areas for new business. Being proactive and persistent is key - you continuously seek out new opportunities and follow up to drive results.

What's on Offer

- Competitive Salary & Commission:

30,000 - 50,000 base salary plus a market-leading commission per placement and quarterly bonus scheme.

The company believe in high rewards for high effort, so your earning potential is excellent in both roles.

- Flexible Working Hours:

They promote a healthy work-life balance. Enjoy a 37-hour work week with core hours 10am-4pm. You have the option to work from home on Fridays, and we even wrap up early with a 4pm finish to kick-start your weekend. This flexibility allows you to schedule your day efficiently while still collaborating with the team.

- Wellness & Benefits:

Expect a range of perks that make work fun and rewarding. We offer quarterly bonuses and incentives, sports massages, fortnightly yoga sessions, and a scheme to buy or sell annual leave for extra flexibility. You'll also get access to Perkbox discounts (cheap cinema tickets, retail discounts, etc.) and enjoy regular social events - from team-building activities to end-of-quarter celebrations. The team knows how to celebrate success together!

- Modern Office & Tools:

Work in a brand new office environment with free parking on-site, a stocked kitchen and coffee machine, a pool table, and even a drinks fridge to help you unwind with colleagues. You'll be provided all the best recruitment tools too - you'll get full access to LinkedIn Recruiter, SourceBreaker, and an established CRM, along with ongoing mentorship and training support to ensure you have every tool you need to succeed.

Who You Are

We're looking for individuals who are driven, professional, and passionate about excelling in recruitment. Previous experience in recruitment or B2B sales is required with a track record that shows you can hit the ground running in your focus area. You should take pride in your work, be hardworking and adaptable, and thrive in a fast-paced, fun environment.

Excellent communication skills (confident phone manner and strong written skills) are essential for dealing with both candidates and clients, as is a keen attention to detail in your work.

For the Delivery Consultant role:

You enjoy the hunt for talent and have a naturally curious mindset. You love learning about people's careers in tech/engineering and matching candidates to the right opportunities. Your problem-solving skills and patience in understanding candidates' backgrounds set you apart.

For the Client Acquisition role:

You are sales-savvy, target-driven, and unfazed by cold calling or networking. You have a competitive streak and a strategic mindset when it comes to business development, always looking for ways to grow your client base. Your negotiation and relationship-building skills enable you to establish trust and credibility with clients quickly.

Experience:

In either role, hands-on recruitment experience (agency or in-house) or relevant sales experience is necessary. Perhaps you've been a 360 Recruitment Consultant who now wants to specialize, or you're a successful Resourcer/Account Manager ready to do more, or a B2B Sales professional eager to apply your skills in the booming tech recruitment sector. Industry knowledge in Technology, Engineering or Defence is a bonus (you'll be working in these markets), but with the right attitude and willingness to learn, you can pick this up quickly.

About the Company:

Our client is a multi-award-winning recruitment agency specialising in the Technology, Engineering, Defence, and Business Change markets. They have built a 5? reputation for strong relationships and a personalised, consultative approach.

You'll be joining a supportive team culture where success is celebrated and everyone is empowered with the tools and training to thrive. In fact, this company has been recognised as a "Great Place to Work" and even won Recruitment Agency of the Year 2023 in their region - so you can be confident you're joining a winning team that values its people.
