to hear more about our Energy pathway, from one of our current graduates.
With over 90 energy and sustainability consultants operating across a UK network, Savills Earth is quickly developing into the largest zero carbon department in any mainstream real estate practice with a reputation for success and professionalism. Our energy services include, but are not limited to; feasibility studies, energy audits and due diligence on proposed and operational sites. In addition we undertake valuations of energy assets, transactions of energy assets, negotiating commercial contracts between different parties (Lease Agreements, Energy Supply Agreements, etc), identifying and securing land for energy developments and providing strategic advice on energy, infrastructure, and property related matters.
As an Energy Team within a real estate company our USP is understanding how land and property is used, the value that is attributed to real estate and how low carbon energy solutions can enhance property values to justify investment in net zero solutions. It is often the case that the best engineering solution for energy infrastructure is not the best property solution for the landlord or occupiers. As such, it is within this space that the Savills Energy Team looks to operate in partnership with architects, planners, developers, funders and specialist engineering design firms to find net zero solutions that improve the social aspects of a project and enhance property values.
Within Energy, we have roles this year available in London.
As a graduate on the energy pathway, our graduates will gain experience across a wider variety of different service lines and skills. One day our graduates could be out undertaking energy audits on managed sites, the next undertaking research to support a Director's strategic advice on low carbon energy infrastructure of national importance. The breadth of experience that Savills graduates obtain is vast as graduates are exposed to the technical, commercial and practical aspects of project delivery in the energy and real estate sectors.
Surveying Graduates will qualify as a Chartered Surveyor via the RICS Land & Resources pathway (MRICS).
