Job summary




The role leads on data analysis and reporting within the HR Analytics function. This role is responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights, helping to shape HR strategies and decision-making.###

Job description




The analytics lead works closely with the Head of HR Analytics and partners across corporate services to deliver people data reporting and insights on a defined set of metrics relating to HR service provision; workforce trends; performance against agreed priorities or outcomes and driving evidenced based decision making and analytical insights to the HR Team and wider organisation.###

Person specification



Extracting, building and analysing people data from internal and external sources and presenting it in a clear and compelling way for stakeholders and senior leaders Lead the analysis of HR data to provide routine insights that support business decisions and HR strategies (e.g., recruitment, retention, diversity, performance). Develop and maintain routine outputs (including dashboards, reports, and visualisations) that communicate key HR metrics and trends to key stakeholders in partnership with the Data Visualisation Service. Collaborate with HR business partners and HR functional leads, focusing on extracting insights from data and building replicable reporting that inform HR operational planning and decisions. Ensure data quality and consistency in all analyses, adhering to functional standards and ethical standards; driving improvements and providing assurance on the integrity of the information. Ensure good data management through quality assurance, storage and maintenance of all people data in line with Welsh Government Policy and legal requirements. Through analysis, identify the root cause of current and emerging people analytics issues, working with senior officials to drive improvements and innovation. Provide support to upskill team members, and HR partners, in data and digital literacy, basic analysis techniques and best practices around the use of insights to inform planning and decision-making. Collaborate across HR functions, with other analysts and wider organisation to understand data needs and provide data-driven recommendations for process improvements. ###
