We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating excavators in various construction environments. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe completion of excavation tasks on site.

Responsibilities

Operate excavators safely and efficiently to perform earthmoving tasks, including digging, grading, and trenching. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition. Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to understand project requirements and timelines. Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs. Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others on site. Assist with loading and unloading materials as required, demonstrating a good understanding of commercial driving principles when necessary.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Excavator Operator with a strong understanding of excavation techniques. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with the excavator and perform basic maintenance. Valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; however, candidates must be able to operate heavy machinery safely. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on site. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Flexibility to adapt to changing project demands and schedules.
