Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide an IT environment and applications that have the client at the heart of everything it does. Also to provide advanced technical support for applications, ensuring their stability, performance, and security. The role involves troubleshooting complex issues, implementing solutions, and collaborating with various teams to enhance application functionality and user experience.
To place the interests of customers at the centre of all activities, act in a way that is consistent with achieving good outcomes for consumers; and to comply with the FCA and PRA's Conduct Rules.
Key Responsibilities:
Incident Management:
Handle escalated incidents and service requests from 1st and 2nd line support teams, ensuring timely resolution within SLA.
Problem Management:
Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement permanent fixes to prevent future occurrences.
Application Maintenance:
Perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and performance tuning to ensure applications run smoothly.
Collaboration:
Work closely with development, infrastructure, and other IT teams to resolve issues and implement improvements.
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of issues, solutions, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Security:
Ensure all applications are secure and comply with company policies and industry standards. Conduct regular vulnerability scans and remediate any identified issues.
Customer Support:
Provide high-quality support to internal and external customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing their concerns promptly.
Security:
Ensure regular vulnerability scans are maintained across specific applications (Microsoft Security Centre, Qualys) and identified remediations are implemented.
Risk:
Responsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures.
Raise any Risk events or RCEPS required for the applications supported.

Knowledge/
Experience/Skills:
Experience working with suppliers and vendors to host, support and maintain their platforms
Cloud computing and solutions including Azure, AWS and Office365
Strong experience in designing, implementing, and migrating services into PaaS or SaaS solutions and if not possible into Infrastructure as a Service solutions, including Azure SQL MI and other Azure PaaS services, Azure - Compute, Azure Web, Azure Site Recovery and ExpressRoute connectivity
Strong experience of supporting IT for IT Applications and business facing applications such as AzureDevOps configuration, Mimecast, Digital Business Cards and others
Experience of supporting 3rd party applications such as Odessa and Bottomline
Knowledge and understanding of designing, implementing, and migrating services in to 'Software as a Service' solutions, including Office365 - Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Azure AD, Single Sign-on, Defender ATP, Intune, Cloud App Security and Traffic Manager
Good understanding of networking concepts and security standards is desirable
Microsoft core technologies including Microsoft SQL, Exchange, Windows, IIS, Active Directory, ADFS, MS Dynamics, SharePoint and BizTalk
Knowledge of monitoring solutions such as SolarWinds Orion/Hybrid Cloud Observability, Datadog and Pingdom is desirable
Strong experience in antivirus and threat detection software (Windows Defender ATP, Taegis or similar)
Strong experience in operating Microsoft's suite of security tools (Security Centre, Compliance Manager, Endpoint Manager, Defender ATP, Azure ATP)
Knowledge of Working in an ADO CI/CD environment would be beneficial
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 below are required:
ITIL v4 fundamentals
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience
Relevant certifications in application support
Preferably at least 1 of the below:
Qualifications in specific applications or technologies used within the company
Azure Fundamentals
Mimecast certification
