Application Support Engineer - York Hybrid (20-30K)

Senitor are pleased to be working with an established tech company in York, in helping them to recruit for a IT / Application Support Engineer on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in providing 1st and 2nd line support as well as a background in supporting bespoke applications and have around 4/5 years experience. This role will be WFH after the first month, so the candidate will need to live a commutable distance from the office in York.

Roles and Responsibilities include:
  • Sorting and maintaining software and applications
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and escalating queries if required
  • Hardware configuration/troubleshooting
  • Upgrading the customers software
  • Involvement with exciting new projects
  • Implementing upgrades, fixes and product enhancements (including testing)
  • Liaise and problem-solve with the Development team and third party suppliers
Key Skills/Experience required includes:
  • Windows Operating Systems and Servers (2003 - 2019)
  • Strong database skills (SQL Server, Informix etc)
  • MS Exchange
  • Office 365
  • Networking
  • Software Application support
  • Linux
  • Hyper -V & VMWare
