Join our team as Community Development Officer

We're recruiting for three Community Development Officer roles - one full-time and two part-time posts - to help us strengthen local communities through meaningful engagement and practical support.

This role plays an important part in supporting residents, building partnerships, and developing community-led projects. You'll be working directly in neighbourhoods, helping people take action on the things that matter most to them.

Key Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with residents, local groups and partner organisations. Develop and manage projects that respond to local needs and priorities. Identify and apply for external funding and deliver funded programmes effectively. Facilitate consultations and help communities influence local decision-making. Support the management and use of community buildings and outdoor spaces. Help shape and deliver local action plans that align with wider strategic goals. Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of your work. Follow health and safety procedures and contribute to a culture of learning and improvement.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Experience delivering community-based projects and working with a wide range of people. A good understanding of the principles of community development and the challenges communities face. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently and professionally. A proactive and creative approach to working with residents and stakeholders.
