Job Overview

We are seeking a professional 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a 7.5-tonne flatbed vehicle to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a reliable, experienced driver with a strong focus on safety and customer service, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of vehicle care and compliance with road regulations.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a 7.5-tonne flatbed lorry for scheduled deliveries and collections. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring punctuality and adherence to traffic laws. Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon completion of each delivery. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise during transit. Follow health and safety protocols at all times, including proper handling of goods and adherence to company policies.

Experience

Proven experience in driving 7.5 Tonne vehicles, preferably with flatbed or commercial driving backgrounds. Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with route planning and customer interactions. Valid UK driving licence suitable for 7.5 Tonne vehicles, with a clean driving record. Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving in the UK. Experience in handling flatbed loads, securing cargo safely during transit, is advantageous but not essential.
