Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely service and maintaining high standards of professionalism. The ideal applicant will possess a valid driving licence, relevant experience in commercial driving, and familiarity with taillift vehicles.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a 7.5 tonne taillift lorry for the transportation of goods to designated locations, which will mostly be cages. Load and unload items using appropriate equipment, ensuring securement for transit. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any faults or maintenance needs promptly. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon completion of deliveries. Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies during operations. Communicate professionally with clients and dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or issues encountered on route. Ensure the vehicle remains clean and well-maintained throughout the working day.

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with taillift vehicles or similar commercial lorries. Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations pertaining to commercial vehicles within the UK. Valid UK driving licence suitable for 7.5 tonne vehicles (category C1). Experience in handling delivery documentation accurately and efficiently is advantageous.
