About the Role:



Wordsworth Excavations is seeking a reliable and professional Abnormal Loads Escort Driver to join our specialist transport team. You will be responsible for safely escorting abnormal loads across the UK, ensuring full compliance with transport regulations and maintaining clear communication with drivers, and local authorities.

This role requires regular nights away, with accommodation provided in a fully furnished company van equipped for comfortable rest periods on the road.

Key Responsibilities:



Escort and support the movement of abnormal and heavy loads safely across the UK Liaise effectively with driver, police escorts, and other road users Conduct route assessments and risk evaluations as needed Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate journey logs Represent Wordsworth Excavations professionally at all times

Requirements:



Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential) HGV license training can be provided for right candidate Experience in abnormal load escorting is advantageous Good communication and organisational skills Flexibility for nights away and varied working hours Knowledge of transport regulations and road safety
