We are currently recruiting for a part-qualified or qualified ACA / ACCA individual to join our accounts & tax department, alongside 2 trainees, a chartered accountant and the head of the department. This is a full-time position, but will also consider part-time or flexible hours for the right candidate.
We are an exclusive chartered accountancy and tax firm dealing with a wide range of interesting and diverse clients, based in a beautiful rural location. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding and successful firm as part of the established accounts & tax team.
There are also opportunities within the wider firm, should you wish, to additionally assist within our Management Accounts team, where we provide outsourced finance teams & services to a range of clients. This includes bookkeeping support, financial controller, finance director and CFO positions. Preparing cashflow forecasts, customised management accounts & reports and dealing with an interesting variety of accountancy/tax-based questions are a few examples of what you can do within this team, effectively giving you an "in-house industry" experience whilst benefiting from the full support of a team of accountants and getting involved with more than one business to keep things interesting.
You will get a wealth of experience in a variety of sectors, with all sizes of client. Our clients are typically London-based or international, and we have a large HNW / UHNW portfolio of personal tax clients. You will be directly assisting the Head of Accounts/Tax, being responsible for efficiently preparing year end accounts and corporation tax returns to a high standard, assisting with ad-hoc technical queries and helping guide and mentor ACA trainees.
A wide range of accountancy and tax topics are covered within our client base on a regular basis, so the role will provide an interesting and challenging environment, with good support in place for those keen to learn. Proficiency in Excel is required, with familiarity in using a range of formulas and functions to manage and analyse data effectively.

Candidates must be fully qualified or in the final stages of the ACA/ACCA, with 2-3 years' experience preparing accounts and corporation tax returns. Audit experience could also be advantageous, although is not a requirement.
