Academic Lead For Collaborative Provision

London, United Kingdom

Job Description

One-year, part-time, temporary, fixed-term role
Richmond American University London is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor to assist with the development of Richmond validated degree programmes in our partner universities.
The post is initially offered on a 0.5 temporary (1 year) basis, starting as soon as possible. Initially, the postholder will not have teaching duties at Richmond, but will report to the Provost, who oversees the academic developments in our Chinese and other partner universities. The main task over the year is to help with curriculum development and validations in our Chinese partner universities. The biggest degree programmes validated by Richmond in China are in the areas of Visual Communications Design and Software Design, so it would be advantageous to have an academic background in one of these areas, although we also validate Finance, Accounting and Business English degrees.
Duties will include working closely with colleagues in our partner universities on the development of validated provision, specifically in relation to aligning UK subject benchmarks to the Chinese curriculum. The postholder will assist Richmond's Collaborative Provision team in ensuring that the necessary documentation from our partner universities is prepared for validation events and that deadlines are met and will participate in validation events.
There may be a requirement to visit our partner universities in China as part of this role.
