About the role




To ensure the administrative and organisational activities within the academy are effectively and efficiently maintained and provide excellent service to the overall running of the academy.


There will be extensive liaison with pupils, parents/carers, other staff and external agencies.


General administrative tasks will include word-processing and IT based tasks including operation of relevant equipment and advanced ICT packages; organise and provide administrative

13 hours per week Thursdays and Fridays - 39 weeks per annum Term time only- permanent contract

Who we are looking for



Proven experience as an office administrator or relevant role with knowledge for implementing a range of administrative procedures, including use of relevant ICT packages and systems Sound knowledge of Data Protection, Safeguarding and confidentiality issues Knowledge of internal and external guidelines and statutory requirements Deep knowledge and understanding of the academy, academy policies and procedures, and services to resolve queries and problems Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide advice, guidance and support on a range of non-teaching issues to Headteachers, teachers, other academy employees, Governors, pupils, parents and other members of the community Establish and maintain effective and constructive relationships with pupils, parents and carers, communicating with them as appropriate to share information, and inform them of academy business through daily contacts and written communications Perform receptionist duties when needed Significant experience as an office assistant or in another relevant administrative role with a thorough understanding of office management procedures. Excellent organisational and time management skills, works with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving. Resolves office-related issues and responds to requests as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results. Schedule and plan meetings and appointments Proficiency in MS Office Keyboard skills for system analysis and use of finance management systems
