The

Academy Operations Coordinator

is a pivotal role within Motorsport UK, responsible for the planning, coordination, and operational delivery of the Motorsport UK Academy programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the development of the UK's most promising drivers and co-drivers.

The successful candidate will bring strong project management and organisational expertise, coupled with a passion for athlete development, to ensure the smooth running and continued evolution of a world-class talent pathway.

The primary objectives associated with this role will be:

Manage the end-to-end delivery of Motorsport UK Academy programmes, including but not limited to: Programme logistics and coordination Reviewing eligibility criteria and managing the selection process Scheduling training and assessment opportunities Arranging accommodation, travel, and on-site logistics Overseeing kit and resource management Monitoring and evaluating athlete progression Liaising with venues, coaches, athletes, and parents

Additional Responsibilities



In addition to the primary objectives listed above, the

Academy Operations Coordinator

will be responsible for:

Oversee the day-to-day management of the DiSE programme, including relationships with the partner college, recruitment and onboarding of athletes, curriculum planning, delivery oversight, and ongoing programme development. Design and maintain robust systems for athlete tracking, performance feedback, and impact reporting. Support Motorsport UK's involvement in international initiatives, including application and selection processes, and provide event support where required. Develop and implement new initiatives to identify and support high-potential drivers and co-drivers, enhancing the performance pathway. Maintain awareness of other athlete development pathways in motorsport and the wider sporting landscape, to ensure best practice in Academy design and delivery.

Project & Stakeholder Management



Work closely with the Commercial Team to activate sponsor partnerships and identify new opportunities for operational and commercial collaboration. Manage relationships with sponsors, suppliers, and key delivery partners, ensuring excellent communication, fulfilment of obligations, and provision of regular reports. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Team and Social Media Manager to ensure content is aligned with Academy goals and maximises visibility and engagement. Maintain up-to-date content on the Motorsport UK website and ensure all materials are aligned with Academy guidelines. Ensure the integration of Motorsport UK initiatives such as Race with Respect, in close collaboration with the Safeguarding and Disciplinary teams.

Leadership & Development



Take ownership of the Academy budget, ensuring responsible monitoring and forecast reporting to the Head of Competitor Development. Represent the Academy at key events, training days, and camps, acting as the primary contact for all participating competitors and staff. Drive clear and consistent communication with drivers, coaches, parents, and support staff. Research, and support the development of future opportunities to broaden Academy Talent Pool Support the development of human performance resources for drivers and parents, covering topics such as performance nutrition, time management, holistic wellbeing, and balancing sport with education. Maintain a KPI dashboard to measure programme performance and impact, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and opportunities.

The Person



Strong project management and organisational skills, with a proven track record of delivering complex programmes on time and within budget. Passion for and understanding of athlete development pathways. Commercial awareness to support programme sustainability and growth. Ability to translate strategic goals into practical, operational plans. Excellent relationship-building skills, with experience working across a range of external stakeholders. Exceptional planning, prioritisation, and time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to present complex ideas with clarity and professionalism. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. The ability to travel to the Motorsport UK offices. Eligible to work within the UK.

Desirable But Not Essential



Educated to degree level or equivalent in a sport-related discipline, or substantial experience in sport development. Experience in sport development or working within a National Governing Body (NGB). Familiarity with athlete performance platforms for monitoring and support. Knowledge of the UK motorsport landscape, including competitor and coaching systems. Experience in the design, delivery, and evaluation of athlete development programmes. Experience in managing national-level programmes or initiatives. Understanding of the UK talent development pathway and athlete progression models.
